The Rotary Club of College Park - Orlando

brings together leaders to exchange ideas
and take action in our community.

COMMMUNITY SERVICE

IS SOMETIMES CALLED THE

HEARTBEAT OF ROTARY

Rotary’s reputation for serving others rests largely upon the service projects that Rotarians undertake to improve the quality of life for all people within the club’s local community.

END POLIO NOW

AFTER 20 YEARS OF EFFORT, ROTARY AND ITS PARTNERS HAVE ERADICATED 99% OF THE CRIPPLING POLIO VIRUS.

WITH THE HELP OF THE BILL & MELINDA GATES FOUNDATION

WHAT WOULD IT TAKE TO CHANGE THE WORLD?

ROTARY’S 1.2 MILLION MEMBERS
BELIEVE THAT IT STARTS WITH A COMMITMENT TO

SERVICE ABOVE SELF

Together, we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change —

across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.

What Is Rotary?

Rotary is a worldwide organization of more than 1.2 million business, professional, and community leaders spread throughout 34,000 Rotary Clubs in more than 200 countries.

Clubs are nonpolitical, nonreligious, and open to all cultures, races, and creeds. As signified by the motto Service Above Self, members of Rotary clubs, known as Rotarians, share the main objective of service — in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world.

The Story of Rotary

Rotary founder Paul Harris said he never imagined that his oasis of friendship and service in a single city would grow into a global force for improving people’s lives.

But that is what Rotary is today…

Rotary four way test

The Four-Way Test is a nonpartisan and nonsectarian ethical guide for Rotarians to use for their personal and professional relationships. The test has been translated into more than 100 languages.

Avenues of Service

We channel our commitment to service at home and abroad through five Avenues of Service, which are the foundation of club activity.

So, how can you be involved…

The Rotary Club of College Park Sponsors Dolly Parton's Imagination Library

Friday, September 3, 2021
By: George L. Stuart Jr.
In 1996, Dolly Parton launched an exciting new effort. Dolly's vision was to foster a love of reading among preschool children  and their families by providing them with the gift of a specially selected book each month. By mailing high quality, age-appropriate books directly to their homes, she wanted children to be excited about books and to feel the magic that books can create. Moreover, she could insure that every child would have books, regardless of their family’s income.

History of the Rotary Club of College Park

The history of the Rotary Club of College Park began in 1986 with a handful of businessmen who were members of the Winter Park and Orlando Clubs. They believed that the neighborhood of College Park could sustain its own Rotary Club.
