Committees

We offer several opportunities to engage in our club through a variety of committees. From service projects to special events, there is a place for you to plug in.

Membership Committee:

The membership committee focuses on growing our membership and helping current members feel welcome and engaged in the club. They also plan new member orientation.

Program Committee:

The program committee is in charge of securing the featured speakers for our club meetings.

Chair: Gabe Goering (President-Elect)

 

Public Relations:

The PR committee creates awareness of club activities and projects among club members, media, and the community. They also maintain the website and send out press releases and the newsletter.

Marketing Committee (Serves under Public Relations):

The Marketing committee creates awareness of our club and what’s happening within the club and our community through Facebook, website and social media.

Service – Local Projects Committee:

The service committee focuses on projects and activities the club undertakes to improve life in our community.

Fellowship:

The fellowship committee is charged with developing opportunities for members to socialize and network outside of regular meetings.

Chair: Lori Webb/Dimitriy Vakulenko

 

Governance:

The Governance committee serves as the nominating committee for the Board of Directors, oversees training/orientation of board members and handles other duties as decided by the club President.

Tours:

The tour committee coordinates tours of local businesses and interesting facilities for our members.

Service – Grants Committee:

The grants committee oversees the annual grants allocation process each year. Our club awards nearly $20,000 in grants to local non-profits. Find the grant application here. (get a pdf of the app)

Community Youth:

The community youth committee recruits junior Rotarians and promotes the Rotary Youth Leadership Academy and other youth projects.

Chair: Aubrey Patterson/Dawn Johnson

 

Rotary International:

The RI committee coordinate youth foreign exchange programs, GSE and international service projects. They also inspire club members to give to The Rotary Foundation.

Endowed Fund – Rotary Club of Hutchinson:

Strategy Committee:

The Strategy Committee is charged with the development of a framework to define our club’s long strategy of continuity and service to our community and our club members.
